Project description:

Within the framework of the project "Modifications of the platform structures on the rail route Holzkirchen-Bayrischzell", the Engineering Offices Claus was mainly concerned with the construction and safety supervision for modifications on the Holzkirchen station.

The following modifications were made on the 6-track, electrified station of Holzkirchen:

• Dismantling of the existing platform structures for physically-handicapped and building new structures
• Construction of elevators/lifts in the existing pedestrian tunnels
• General overhaul of the rails in the station

 


Results provided:
Construction Supervision
(Construction)

• Supervision of construction of the objects concerning agreement with the executional plans and structural analysis documents, including co-operation during approval of the services provided and supervision of eliminating the reported defects
• Co-operation during supervision of the inspection of the functionality of the instalments and of the complete facilities
• Leading meetings and taking minutes of the construction meetings
• Keeping minutes of the daily construction work
• Co-ordination of the activities of all those concerned with construction
• Actively warding off supplementary or additional work

Supervision
(Operational)

• Providing applications for drawing up operational and constructional instructions, especially:
• Supervision of the tasks of the authorised technical staff according to paragraph 4.2 of the construction and operation regulations
• Supervision of the tasks as the person responsible for safety measures connected to electrical facilities according to construction and operation regulations (including grounding of the superstructures)
Other Activities • All activities connected to safety supervision according to DB AG regulation 134.0505
• Construction accounting in the DB construction information system



Project: "Rail renewal – and subgrade layer improvement of the middle track on the route Tostedt Station to Buchholz Station (Nordheide) "

Project description:

The middle rail of a 3-rail route between Tostedt Station and Buchholz Station was renewed along a section of 8 km within the period of a month. Renewal included bed renewal and the construction of a subgrade layer protection layer.

Since the neighbouring rails were heavily trafficked (also causing difficulties in bringing material in and out) a decision was made to renew the soil protection layer using the soil improvement machine PM 200, employed under the existing rail. It wasn't until after the soil protection layer was applied that the existing rails were removed and the rail ties was renewed.

• Determination of the operational safety before reporting being fit for traffic
• Reporting to the station master, including reporting being free for traffic
• Supervision of the tasks as person responsible for safety measures connected to electrical facilities according to construction and operation regulations


 


Project: "Improvement of the route sections Hildesheim-Goslar-Vienenburg for NeiTech"

Project description:

As part of desired travel-time reduction between the Hannover area and the Halle/Leipzig area, the rail route between the Hildesheim Station and the Vienenburg Station was improved. The route speed on the existing facilities is 120 km/h. After completion of the improvement work and with the help of NeiTech – Technology, speeds of 160 km/h could be reached under normal traffic conditions.

Adaptations on a total length of 80 km of rail also included, apart from maintenance measures (changing track fastenings, rail milling, track adjustments etc.), track and points modifications.
